Easter fell on General Conference weekend which was kind of fun. We did venture out Saturday to take Sophie to a big Easter egg hunt. I was all worried we were going to be late and then we got there and they were 45 minutes late starting it. I'm completely at a loss at why you have to wait forty-five minutes to yell, "start!" And the hundreds of little children waiting and crying around the perimeter of the eggs surely were also confused why the couldn't just go grab the darn eggs. By the time they finally let us start half the kids were so grumpy and upset (ours included) that they didn't want to participate.
The Easter Egg Hunt at home was far more entertaining and fun. Grandma and Grandpa Hoffman came over and we all followed Sophie around the front yard.
The next Sunday that we had church I put Sophie in the dress that our niece Hannah wore to our wedding almost six years ago. She loved it and cried when I took it off. She was such a pretty little princess that day, but the only pictures I got were of her watering the flowers after church.
