Museum of Idaho

After a week or so of nice weather, we were brought back to reality with rain, wind, and cold. To dispel our cold blues we went to the Museum of Idaho's dinosaur exhibit. It wasn't so much a dinosaur exhibit as it was a dinosaur EGG exhibit. But they had a few fun things for Sophie to do: dress up like a dinosaur, uncover eggs, and play on random furniture. It was a fun little outing, but someday I would love to open a legitimate children's museum here.

Too Much Emery Cuteness

Awwww, those baby cheeks. Those first smiles are so darn cute. I can hardly stand it when she gets all smiley. I am so proud of myself because I got Emery to laugh for the first time yesterday. It took lots of belly tickling but I got some great little chuckles out of her. We get lots of comments on Emery's beautiful dark skin and big beautiful eyes. When Daniel isn't with me people say "oh she must look like her daddy!" which is partially true. She looks A LOT like my mom's baby pictures and possibly gets some of that dark hair and skin from Daniel's side too.

When we do tummy time she pumps her legs a lot which doesn't help her lift her head, but gets her little bum up in the air which is adorable. We have some good days and some hard days, but those good days are absolutely wonderful!

Jumping in Puddles

One Sunday I told Sophie after I took a nap I would go outside and play with her. While I was napping it decided to rain. Sooooo, we got dressed up as best we could to play in the rain (minus the rain boots). Sophie thoroughly enjoyed it and now requests we do so every time it rains. However she thinks the run-off in the gutter is too much and prefers to just jump around on the driveway. No bad weather stops her from playing outside.
