Daniel had the Friday before Easter off of work (that's what I call a "Good" Friday!) so we decided to make our first trip back to Idaho Falls since we've moved to Boise. It was our best drive thus far--Sophie did great. Friday we hung around Grandpa's and dyed eggs with the cousins. Saturday we packed full of activities. We went out to breakfast at the classic Smitty's downtown. Then we went to the Easter Egg hunt at McCowin Park. Sophie's age group was on the cement tennis court which didn't make a whole lot of sense, but she seemed mildly entertained. At the sound of the alarm Daniel scooped her up and plopped her in the middle of all the eggs while all the other kids scrambled at the perimeter. He did a great job protecting her from the madness. Once Sophie discovered the eggs popped open, she thought they were so cool. She doesn't understand what exactly candy is--so it works out great for us.

That afternoon we went swimming with the cousins, which Sophie LOVED. Then a nap, and back to playing with cousins. Sophie probably had the most fun of anyone this weekend. She adores those girls and they are so great to her. She is on the grumpy side today and I blame that on having too much fun this weekend. My heart melted into a big, mushy pile of goop watching them play so sweetly and Sophie giving out adorable spontaneous hugs and kisses.
The Easter bunny was so clever and stuffed Sophie's eggs Easter morning with Cheerios, fruit snacks, and Goldfish crackers. Sophie ate almost every egg before moving on to the next. She also thought that the Easter grass in her basket was pretty tasty. Grandpa was great at spoiling Sophie with lots of Mickey Mouse clubhouse, strawberries, and cuddling up for Frozen on the laptop. Also, he is better at forcing Sophie to try to walk--we might take a leaf out of his book for that one.
Easter morning we also did a photo session at the Enger's. With so many cute girls how could one resist? Sophie was super cute and silly until it was time to take a family photo. Figures.

Sophie and I got bored on the way home and started making some silly faces. I actually really love these pictures.
So cute. I won't show these pictures to Stella because she would get too jealous of all the cousin fun.
