Saturday we decide it was time we got out of town and saw some of fall in all its glory. First off, we bought ourselves a minivan! This definitely prompted us to go on a little trip since last time we took our Jeep on the highway we broke down two times. I'm loving the oodles amount of space and power everything in our van. I hope it lasts us forever and we can just fill it with kids. Anyways, so we drove up to Swan Valley. We packed snacks/lunch and stopped at Fall Creek Falls, then headed up to Palisades Creek and hiked an embarrassingly short amount, but Sophie really wanted to walk so we let her explore. We had to bribe her anytime we wanted her to ride in the hiking backpack. She enjoyed throwing rocks in the water and seeing the dogs and horses that were also on the trail. Daniel found a walking stick and then Sophie found one too. Unfortunately for Sophie, hers was half as big as it should have been and she walked all hunched over like an old lady. It was pretty hilarious. After our mini hike we went to get square ice cream. We ran into some friends from Sophie's tumbling class there and Sophie showed off how moody two year olds can be when she freaked out that her friends ice cream was blue and Sophie's was pink. You can't win them all kid. We had a nice visit and then continued our drive up to Jackson Hole. The drive into Victor and then down into Wilson, WY was so beautiful. The evergreen covered hills were dotted with bursts of yellow. It was a great drive. We then walked the square in Jackson Hole, bought candy at the candy store, and found somewhere yummy for dinner. We made it home just in time for bed--except Sophie was a crazy hyper child. It was a super fun day!

And you'd never guess Sophie's little friend was four month older than her.
Sophie just kept screaming "my moose! my moose! my moose!"
