Sophie Turns Three!

Someone had a very happy birthday! It's so fun to get to spoil Sophie even more than she already is. My mom even happened to be in town so Sophie was over the moon with all the love and adoration she received. We had decided a while back that she was going to have a George birthday. So from cake to decorations to presents, it was definitely a Curious George day. We started out with special birthday waffles with "frinkles" on top. We later met Daddy for lunch at Fiesta Ole where Sophie downed a cheese burrito impressively. Sophie afternoon was spent playing with Kira--her favorite activity. And even though it took two trips back to the store, we picked up her Curious George cake. The weather certainly didn't disappoint as it was a crazy, fluffy snowstorm all day. I guess we should get used to snowy birthdays. Sophie loves chow mien noodles so we went to Mongolian Grill for dinner with all her Enger cousins, Erin, Jason, Grandpa Jensen, and Grandma Hoffman. After which everyone headed to our house for cake and ice cream.

Great things about our little three year old:

  • She loves to play, but definitely wants you to play with her.
  • She loves puzzles and scored a lot for Christmas and her birthday which is great.
  • Her feelings get hurt easily, but she always tries to do what is right.
  • She eats like a toddler with the minor exception of the time she ate four pieces of pizza or when she gets her chow mien noodles.
  • She definitely taller than a lot of her peers at this point, but not too crazily tall
  • She loves her new nursery class.
  • She thinks the mailman delivers pizza
  • Her favorite princess is Cinderella
  • She knows most of her colors & can count to 20
Funny things Sophie says:

  • T.B. = T.V.
  • Frinkles = Sprinkles
  • White Chocolate Milk = Plain Milk
  • Pizza with Polka Dots = Pepperoni Pizza
  • Parachute = Parrot
  • Headband = Band-aids (also headband is headband)
  • Mikes = Her Headphones she watches the iPad with
  • When she wants whatever I'm eating/drinking: "Mom! Let's both share!"
  • When she doesn't get what she wants: "You make me sad" {Pouty face and slumped shoulders}
