Moving & Middleton {Phase One}

Sophie's feelings about moving everywhere:

We moved in a moderately complicated way. Our house sold amazingly well. We had half a dozen showings the first week and two people made us an offer. One of the offers was ridiculously low, but it helped us secure our sale at just $900 below asking. After closing costs, we made about $1000 for which we are supremely grateful. Only being the house a year and not losing money is a miracle in my eyes. Well, our buyer wanted in the house ASAP. We decided since we were going to go to Idaho Falls for Daniel's buddy's wedding, we would just drive a moving truck along with us. That weekend we left Sophie with my parents where she did great and we drove ten hours in less than 36 hours. We basically dumped our stuff at the storage unit, woke up for church and the wedding the next day, and went back to Boise. Leaving our house early required that we lived at my parent's house in Middleton for a week and a half. Daniel had to drive over an hour to work which he super loved. Sophie and I got spend the hottest week of the year at the neighborhood pool. I loving called this part of our crazy move Phase 1. After which, we loaded our car for Idaho Falls. Apparently, we loaded our car too much because it died outside Mountain Home. We spent four hours at the dealership and they couldn't find anything wrong except it overheated. We carried on, driving a little slower. Then the car really died outside Fort Hall. That time we were stuck on the side of the road. I cried out of frustration of our crazy day and that it was 98 degrees outside. We waited, then called family and a tow truck to come save us. By the time we had called both and Jason was on his way to get us the car miraculously started. Needless to say, I really hate this car. It's kind of a big wimp. It won't be with us for long. 

 I don't know why, but Sophie gets extra clingy the more time she spends with me. At the end of our time in Middleton she was being almost mean to everyone and being tirelessly needy to me. She was being a bit ridiculous honestly.

 I love love love Sophie's new little lifejacket. She complains about putting in on, but she was quite the swimmer with it and it made swimming much less stressful. We had a lot of fun at the pool.

 My mom made yet another amazing quilt for our friends who just had a baby boy. Matches his vintage sports room!
